A workshop for A/L political students organized by the Department of Political Science, University of Kelaniya was held on the 08th of March 2019 at Anamaduwa Central College. The workshop was organized with the objective of enhancing the knowledge on the subject and solving subject matters of revised Political Science syllabus.

The workshop was organized under the funds received from “University Image Building” project and it was focused on A/L Political Science students of three selected schools in Puttalam District.

Present at the occasion were Senior Lecturer Yamuna Mendis, Head- Department of Political Science, academic staff members of the Department of Political Science, undergraduates, school teachers and A/L Political Science students.

Television productions relate to B.A.(Hons) in mass communication first year and second-year undergraduates were successfully held on 8th  February  2019 at the audiovisual studio of the department of mass communication. 8 programs(15 minutes) were created using multi-camera format

“Vimukthikami Wellassa 1818- 2018”, the national conference on commemorating bicentennial celebration of 1818 rebellion, jointly organized by the Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya and the Presidential Secretariat was held on the 30th of November 2018 at BMICH- Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall.
